Oak Hill downs Rochester
The Golden Eagles won against Rochester 61-23 in their opening game of sectionals at Manchester High School on Wednesday evening. David Arens led the scoring with 14 points and was 3 for 5 in 3 pointers. Spencer Ballinger had 11 and Caleb Middlesworth scored 10 points. The Eagles will play against Northfield at 7:30 in the semifinals on Friday evening.
Oak Hill Sports Awards Banquet
Oak Hill’s Athletic Department will be hosting its Winter Sports Awards Program on Thursday, March 10th at 7:00pm. The program will be held in the high school cafeteria. Athletes and managers in boys’ basketball, girls’ basketball, wrestling, boys’ swimming and diving, girls’ swimming and diving, and cheerleading are expected to attend. Friends, family and Golden Eagle fans are also invited.
Mississinewa wins over Bellmont
The Indians won their first game of sectional action against Bellmont 69-61 on Tuesday evening. AJ Grubb led the scoring with 27 points. Nolan Young had 16 and Jerod May had 8 points. Both Connor Oke and Batch Ceesay scored 7 points. The Indians now take on Heritage at 7:30 Friday evening at Columbia City High School.
Eastern beats Madison-Grant
The Argylls season came to an end with a loss to the Comets 26-17 on Tuesday evening during sectionals at Elwood High School. Garrett Watson led the scoring with seven points. Jacob Price had six points and four rebounds. Hunter Hiatt also had four rebounds. The Arglls had 13 turnovers. They end their season with 10 wins and 12 losses.
