Oak Hill volleyball

Elwood cruised to a 3-0 victory over Oak Hill in varsity volleyball action at Mier, Indiana on Wednesday night. Game scores for the match were 25-17, 25-18, and 25-20 in this CIC battle.
On this night, the Panthers jumped out to an early 6-0 lead before the Golden Eagles battled back to pull within three points at 16-13. Elwood then regained control of the game at 20-15 on their way to the 25-17 game one win.
Game two was similar to game one with Elwood exploding to leads of 8- 2 and 20-11. Following a timeout Oak Hill attempted to mount a comeback before falling short at 25-18.
The final game of the evening turned out to be the closest and the most hotly contested of the match. The game was tied at 2, 4, 6, and 7, before the Eagles gained their biggest lead of the match at 15-11. Following a timeout, the Panthers re-grouped to take the lead at 20-17 in route to the 25-20 win. Elwood was led by the solid play of sophomore McKenzie Wilson and freshman Emily Booker.
Oak Hill who falls to 6-9 overall and 1-2 in the CIC and resumes action next Monday at home versus Carroll. Elwood, who improves to 3-10 plays at Frankton on Thursday.

Oak Hill JV defeated Elwood in three sets; 25-18, 14-25, 15-12. Ashlyn Transier had 5 kills and 2 blocks. Adrianna Trexler had 4 kills and 5 blocks. Lexi Carmichael had 11 assists and 3 aces.
