Oak Hill beats Manchester

Oak Hill defeated Manchester by scores of 25-21, 25-15, 14-25 and 25-22 in high school volleyball at North Manchester Monday night.
The first game was a tight affair with the Golden Eagles holding a 8-6 lead before the Squires scored eight of the next nine points to grab a 14-9 advantage. The visitors from Oak Hill had 11-2 run to regain control of the contest 20-16 on their way to the 25-16 win.
Game two was similar to game one with the Eagles out a narrow 9-7 lead, and then the visitors went on another 8-1 run to secure the easy 25-15 victory.
Oak Hill started strong in game three by jumping ahead of Manchester 6-3 . The home team responded with their best stretch of play on the evening with runs of 9-0 and 6-3 to capture the 25-14 win.
The final game was the most competitive of the night. The Golden Eagles had a 7-2 lead and then the Squires to within a point at 8-7. Neither team led by more than two until the visitors squeezed ahead 20-16. Manchester fight back to a two point deficient at 24-22 before the Golden Eagles scored the final to earn the triumph, Oak Hill was led by the 13 kills of senior Toni Lautzenheiser and the overall play fellow senior Christina Webb.
Oak Hill, improves to 8-14 record and 2-4 in the CIC travels to Blackford Thursday night. Manchester who falls to 8-21, will face on Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian Thursday on the road.

Oak Hill JV was defeated by Manchester in two sets; 20-25, 23-25. Ashlyn Transier and Adrianna Trexler each had 6 kills. Lexi Carmichael had 4 aces.
