The Oak Hill Golden Eagle volleyball team lost to top ranked Alexandria by scores of 25-16, 25-13, and 25-17 in CIC action Wednesday night.
The night began with Alexandria grabbing an early 7-3 lead in game one. The Tigers flexed their muscle through the game expanding the lead to 21-11 before gaining the 25-16 win.
Oak Hill responded in game two by taking a 6-3 lead, before the visitors went on a huge 16-1 to regain control of the game in route to an easy 25-13 victory.
The final game of the evening saw the two teams battle to a 5-5 tie. At this point the Alexandria used the sharp serves and powerful spikes of sophomore Megan Miller to secure the 25-17 Oak Hill was led by seniors Christina Webb and Toni Lautzenheiser who had seven kills and six kills respectively.
Oak Hill, who now holds a 6-11 record overall and 1-3 in the CIC hosts Southern Wells Thursday night. Alexandria raises its record to 18-2 and 3-0 in the CIC, will take on Wapahani Thursday at home.
Oak Hill JV defeated Alexandria in two sets; 25-22, 25-15. Ashlyn Transier led the team with 4 kills and 2 aces. Adrianna Trexler had 3 kills and 1 block. Lexi Carmichael had 2 aces and 2 assists. Baily Brewer led the team in digs with 10 and also had an ace.
