Four of the county’s soccer teams–both boys and girls–met Saturday to hold preseason scrimmages and tune up for the regular season, less than a week away.

In the opening session, Oak Hill and Mississinewa played to a 1-1 tie. Isaac Nieto scored for Oak Hill; Sean Williams had Ole Miss’s tally.
In the second session, Marion dominated play but was unable to finish and Eastbrook held on for a scoreless draw.
Eastbrook came out on top, 1-0 during the third session against Oak Hill, on a goal by Adam Siegelin.
That was all the scoring for the day by the boys, as Mississinewa and Marion tied 0-0 in the final session.
The girls’ teams played at Northview Elementary School in Gas City Saturday afternoon, starting at 2. The first match of the day saw the Oak Hill girls come out on top, 1-0 over Missisinewa.
Marion played Eastbrook in the second session, handling the Panthers easily, 4-0, on solo goals by Kaylan Williams and Breanikka Jones and a pair from Vironnica Drake.
